Police in Bangladesh say two Hindu civilians have been killed in fresh religious clashes.
Six people have been killed in clashes since Wednesday, according to the French news agency AFP.
Protests against the alleged desecration of the Koran began on Wednesday. Hindus make up about 10% of the population in Bangladesh.
Police say the latest violence took place in the southern Begumganj area when hundreds of Muslims marched after Friday prayers on the last day of Dargah Puja.
"More than 200 protesters attacked a temple where members of the Hindu community were preparing to perform the last rites of the ten-day festival," Shah Imran, head of the local police station, told reporters.
The attackers beat and stabbed an executive member of the temple committee, he said.
The body of another Hindu man was found near a pond near the temple on Saturday morning, District Police Chief Shahidul Islam told AFP.
"Two people have been killed since yesterday's attack," he added. We are working to find the culprits. "
Anti-Hindu violence has spread to more than two dozen districts this week following an alleged desecration of the Koran.
At least four people were killed Wednesday when police opened fire on about 500 people at a Hindu temple in the Hajiganj area.
Gobind Chandra Premanak, a Hindu community leader, said at least 150 Hindus had been injured and at least 80 temporary temples had been attacked across the country. Authorities did not confirm the figures.
In a country of 169 million, Hindus are often the victims of sectarian violence.
Local officials say they have deployed extra security, including paramilitary forces, to quell further unrest.
Violence erupted in Dhaka and Chittagong on Friday, with police using tear gas and rubber bullets to disperse protesters.
Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina Wajid met the Hindu community on Thursday and promised them "tough action".
