he quarterly renewal of the residency of foreigners residing in Saudi Arabia has begun.
According to the Saudi Press Agency, the Passport Department and the Ministry of Human Resources have started quarterly renewal of residences in collaboration with Sadaya.The Interior Ministry said in a statement that "all fees can be collected quarterly from foreigners following the decision of the Saudi cabinet."
"The decision will not include domestic staff or workers involved."
The ministry said that after formal implementation of the decision, sponsors would be given three-month, six-month, nine-month and 12-month options for residency and renewal of labor card.
"The same facility will be used for renewal of residences of families and associates of foreigners."
"With the facility of quarterly renewal, sponsors can renew their residency according to the real need of their workers."
On the other hand, the Passport Department has said that "Abshar Business and Muqim Portal can be approached as before to avail the new facility for residency and renewal of Labor Card".
