British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has said that all travelers to the UK will be required to remain in quarantine until they receive a negative PCR test.
According to the French news agency AFP, Boris Johnson said that wearing masks in shops and public transport is being made mandatory again.
"We need to go further and implement a new testing system," he told a news conference in the UK, just hours after the confirmation of the first two cases of the new variant, MacronCurrently all British and foreigners entering the UK have to take the PCR test the day after their arrival.
Strict measures have been taken in the new laws to curb the spread of the new strain of corona virus, under which the new laws will have to remain in quarantine until a negative result occurs.
Boris Johnson promised a review in the three weeks before Christmas, saying "I hope we will make sure we are in a strong position and we can lift these restrictions again."
"But right now it's a responsible process."
He indicated that no more lockdowns were being imposed in the country.
The British prime minister did not say when the new measures would take effect, but said the mask's mandate would return.
