Pakistani fast bowler Shaheen Afridi has reached the top five in the ICC Men's Test Player Rankings for the first time in his career thanks to his excellent performance in the first Test against Bangladesh.
In the latest Test rankings of the International Cricket Council (ICC), Shaheen Afridi has moved up three places to the fifth position.On the other hand, Pakistan captain Babar Azam has slipped one place to eighth position while Hassan Ali has moved up five places to 11th position due to his excellent performance in the first Test against Bangladesh.
According to the ICC Test rankings, England's Joe Root tops the list in batting. Australia's Steve Smith is second and New Zealand's Ken Williamson is third.
Australia's Pat Kumner is number one in bowling.
India's Ravi Chandran Eshwan is second and New Zealand's Tim Southee is third.
Pakistani fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi has been promoted three places. Shaheen Shah Afridi, 21, who took seven wickets in the second innings of the Chittagong Test, took five wickets for 32 runs, leaving behind England's James Anderson, South Africa's Kagiso Rabada and New Zealand's Neil Wagner. Hassan Ali is also in the best position of his career after completing a similar seven-wicket match which included five wickets in the first innings.
Hassan has moved up five places to 11th position. West Indies 'Jason Holder tops the all-rounders' list. India's Ravindra Jadeja is second while India's Ravi Chandran Eshwan is third
