The Public Accounts Committee has been told by the audit authorities that the car manufacturing companies in Pakistan have more than 150 billion rupees of people's money while timely delivery of vehicles is not possible.
Public Accounts Committee (PAC) Chairman Noor Alam Khan has indicated to send the matter to NAB on behalf of the companies regarding the delay in the delivery of financial details and vehicles.
Chairman PAC Noor Alam Khan said that delaying tactics are adopted in the delivery of vehicles and payment is also taken at the same time.

He said that there is no quality of vehicles in Pakistan and there are no safety measures in vehicles, if quality vehicles are not made locally, then import should be allowed from outside.
Noor Alam Khan further said that the quality that the car manufacturing companies are providing in Japan and other countries is not being provided in Pakistan.

The representative car manufacturing company told the committee that they are implementing the rules of WP 29 for safety.
The Auditor General told the committee that the car companies have more than 150 billion people. Asked for financial statement from Suzuki, Honda, Indus Motor but not given.
On this, Senator Shibli Faraz said that the trend of wool on vehicles has been promoted by the Ministry of Industry and Production. If the vehicle plants are run at full capacity, vehicles can be delivered promptly, but the Ministry of Industries and Production is completely unable to prevent theft of vehicles.
The Additional Secretary Industries and Production told the committee that the car companies did not provide the records to the ministry, on which the Chairman Public Accounts Committee said, 'You want me to send these cases to NAB.'
The Committee Chairman directed that the Secretary Finance and State Bank provide the bank account records of the car manufacturers within ten days, and Chairman FBR to provide the tax details of the car manufacturing companies to the Committee within ten days.
