Traditional rivals Pakistan and India often clash before the match and now the same thing is happening before the ICC Men's T20 World Cup match on October 24.
According to Indian News website News18, Union Minister of India Gree Raj Singh on Monday asked the two countries to "reconsider" the cancellation of the match in view of the strained relations.
He was asked that the match between Pakistan and India should be canceled due to targeted killings in Indian-administered Kashmir. On this, Gree Raj Singh said, "I think the match should be reconsidered because India-Pakistan relations are not good."
It should be noted that Indian-administered Kashmir has recently witnessed targeted killings of civilians. In which non-natives have been specifically targeted.
Two people were killed in indiscriminate firing in Vanpoh area of Kulgam. One of them was a carpenter and the other was a carpenter.
Punjab Minister Pragat Singh has also demanded the cancellation of the match and said that we should refrain from any action that could further worsen relations between the two countries.
"We must protect humanity and not do anything that could worsen relations between the two countries," he said.
Arvind Kumar Sah, brother of the slain peddler, said that the match between India and Pakistan should be canceled forever.
"Terrorists are entering Jammu through Pakistan. We should not play any match against Pakistan either.
Recently, India captain Virat Kohli said about the match between India and Pakistan, "I have seen this game (against Pakistan) like any other game of cricket. I know there are a lot of issues around it that are mostly related to ticket sales and demand.
Bilateral cricket relations between India and Pakistan were severely affected by growing tensions in diplomatic relations between the two countries.
The two teams meet on the cricket field or at events. Their last meeting was at the 2019 ODI World Cup in England.
