In Dubai, New Zealand won the toss and elected to bat first. India scored 110 runs for the loss of seven wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.

Opener Ashan was caught by Trent Bolt while KL Rahul was dismissed by Saudi in an attempt to play a high shot after scoring 18 runs.The third player to be dismissed was Rohit Sharma who was dismissed by Ash Sodhi. He scored 14 runs.

New Zealand's Trent Bolt took three wickets for 20 runs in four overs while Ash Sodhi took two wickets for 17 runs in four overs.
Before the match, India captain Virat Kohli said that two changes were made in the team. Surya, who was suffering from back pain, was replaced by Ashan Kishan, while Bhunshor Kumar was replaced by Sher Dal Thakur.
Pakistan has beaten both India and New Zealand.
Pakistan is at the top of Group Two after playing three matches and winning all three.
Group Two also includes Afghanistan, Namibia and Scotland.
