A court in the US state of California has ordered the car company Tesla to pay سابق 137 million to a former black employee.
AFP news agency quoted US media as saying that the company's management was accused of ignoring the racist incident with the man.
Owen Diaz was hired by a job search agency as a lift operator at Tesla's Fremont factory.
According to the court, he lived there from June 2015 to July 2016, during which he faced racial hatred and bitter attitudes.
In his lawsuit, Owen Diaz said African-American workers at the factory, including his son, were called by racist names and were shown derogatory images.
The lawsuit was filed by Owen Diaz, his son Demetrik, and a third employee. It was also stated that the complainant was facing a situation similar to that of the 'Jim Crow era'.
It should be noted that Jim Crow is the period in which racist laws were prevalent in the southern states of the United States from 1877 to the 1950s.
According to the court order in Owen Diaz's case, Tesla is disguised as a progressive, while in fact, there is a reactionary and insulting attitude towards African-American employees.
Owen Daisy said that despite the complaint, Tesla did not take any action against the racist incidents.
Bloomberg quoted Lawrence Organ, one of Owen Zeiss's lawyers, as saying that a San Francisco court on Monday ordered Tesla Owen Diez to pay 13 130 million in punitive damages and mental anguish. Pay 69 6.9 million.
Lawrence Organ of the California Seoul Rights Law Group told the Washington Post that he was glad the court found the truth and ordered such a large sum of money that Tesla would have to correct his racist behavior.
"It's nice to know that the court is ready to hold Tesla accountable."
Lawrence Organ expressed satisfaction that one of the world's largest companies has been told, "You can't let this happen to you."
Following the court order, Tesla published a blog by Valerie Keepers, vice president of its human resources, denying all the allegations.
However, it is acknowledged that conditions were not as good as when Owen Diaz was working at Tesla.
