Aryan Khan, son of Shah Rukh Khan, known as the King of Bollywood, has been formally arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB).
He was detained along with six others on a cruise between Saturday and Sunday night. He has been produced in court and according to Indian media, he is accused of buying, possessing and using drugs.
A Mumbai court has remanded him in police custody till October 7.
The NCB has alleged that Aryan Khan's phone chat revealed that he had talked to international drug dealers about money and drugs.
Most of the big names in the Indian film industry have been silent on the matter, but Sunil Shetty, popularly known as 'Anna' in Bollywood, has spoken out on the issue.
