Bahraini security forces have arrested several suspected militants and seized weapons and explosives from Iran.
According to the news agency Reuters, the Bahraini Ministry of Interior informed about this on its official Twitter on Monday. The ministry did not say how many people were arrested or their nationalities.
The Interior Ministry called him "linked to terrorist groups in Iran" and said he was "conspiring to carry out terrorist acts against security and civil peace."Bahrain, which hosts the US Navy's Fifth Fleet and other international naval operations, often accuses Shiite Muslim country Iran of trying to eliminate the Shiite-majority country where the Sunni government is based.
Iran has denied the allegations.
Last year, Bahrain said it had foiled a "terrorist attack" backed by Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
