According to the state-run news agency SPA, the General Assembly of the Asian Olympic Council has decided in a meeting in Dubai on Sunday that Riyadh will host the Asian Indoor Games and Martial Arts Games 2025.
Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, Saudi Minister of Sports and Chairman of the Saudi Olympic Committee, said in a statement that the victory was due to the patronage of the top leadership.He said that King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman were patronizing Saudi sports. He wants the country to join the ranks of developed countries in the field of sports.
Prince Abdulaziz Al-Faisal added that Saudi Arabia has the honor of hosting several international games. Notable among them is the Asian Games 2034 competition.
He said that the leadership has approved financial assistance of 2.6 billion riyals to support sports clubs. The Asian Indoor Games will be held in Saudi Arabia for the first time and it is a matter of pride for us.
