Pakistan beat Bangladesh by eight wickets in the first match of a two-Test series.
Pakistan achieved the target of 202 runs in the 59th over. Babar Azam remained unbeaten on 13 and Azhar Ali on 24.On the fifth day of the ongoing match at Zahoor Ahmed Chaudhry Stadium in Chittagong, Pakistan started their innings with 109 runs without any loss.
Abdullah Shafiq scored 73 runs and became LBW on the ball of Mehdi Hassan. He formed a 151-run partnership with Abid Ali.
The other player who got out was Abid Ali who unfortunately could not complete his century and scored 91 runs and became LBW on the ball of Tajul Islam.
Earlier, in the second innings, the entire Bangladesh team was bowled out for 157 runs.
Bangladesh won the toss and elected to bat first, scoring 330 in the first innings.
In response, the Pakistani team was bowled out for 286 despite the excellent contribution of the openers.
