Muhammad Waseem, a Pakistani boxer from Quetta, won the World Boxing Silver title for the second time by defeating Robert Bereira of Colombia. He is the first Pakistani to receive this award.
In the match played in Dubai, he was competing against the number three Colombian boxer in the world rankings. Muhammad Waseem said in a video message that he was very happy to make Pakistan famous all over the world.
"The competition with the Colombian fighter was tough but I beat him," he said.
"These wounds on my body are for Pakistan and I will continue to shine the name of the country," he said.
