The Saudi Ministry of Manpower and Social Welfare has issued regulations regarding the leave rights of employees of private companies.
According to the Emergency Web, the Ministry of Manpower said in a statement that "workers are entitled to at least 21 days of leave each year." If he has been employed by an employer for five consecutive years, then his annual leave is at least 30 days.Includes annual leave including pay. The employer can assign his employees vacation times according to the need of the work.
The employer has the right to divide the employee's vacation time to keep the work going and to avoid being affected by the vacation. It will be his responsibility to inform the worker at least 30 days before the time of leave.
The Ministry of Manpower says the hirer can transfer his full annual leave or a few days thereafter to the next year with the approval of the employer. The employer reserves the right to defer leave for a maximum of 90 days at the end of the year entitled to leave.
According to the Ministry of Manpower, “If the employer is postponing the annual leave for a longer period in view of the requirements of duty, then he has to get the written approval of the employer. The holiday of the relevant year cannot be postponed till the end of next year.
The Ministry of Manpower said that workers of private companies and institutions are entitled to four days off on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr every year. It starts on the next day of 29th Ramadan from Umm Al-Qura calendar.
Eid-ul-Adha is also a four-day holiday. Waqf will start from the day of 'Arafah.Foreign workers are also entitled to a national holiday. It is on the first day of the month of Mizan (September 23) according to the Umm al-Qura calendar. If the date falls on a weekly holiday, then the National Day holiday will be granted one day before or one day after it.
The Ministry of Manpower says that if the holidays of holidays and occasions fall between the weekly holidays, then in return the same number of holidays will be given to the worker before or after the annual holiday.
The annual leave will be increased according to these holidays.
"If the holidays of holidays and occasions come during the sick leave, then the worker will be paid in full for those days of leave." In this regard, the sick leave will not be used as a basis for deducting the wages of the deserving laborers. However, the leave will be given only on the National Day leave and not compensation.
