A very rare original document of the US Constitution has sold for 43 million at the famous British auction house Southbase.
According to the French news agency AFP, the constitutional document auctioned is one of the only 11 surviving copies on which the founders of the United States, George Washington, Benjamin Franklin and James, dated September 17, 1787 at Independence Hall in Philadelphia Madison signed and approved the same year.The winner of the bid was not immediately identified.
The consortium said a group of cryptocurrency investors had bid چار 40 million to buy the document but failed to get it.
A spokesman for Southbase, a UK auction house, said the auction was a world record for 43 million, including the commissioning of a historical document.
Ancient books expert Selby Kefer said in September that "this copy is probably part of a 500-page edition printed at the signing ceremony."
